The Link Between Self-Regulation and Cognitive Flexibility

Cognitive flexibility is deeply connected to self-regulation—the ability to manage one’s emotions, thoughts, and behaviors in a way that promotes positive outcomes. For neurodivergent learners, difficulties with self-regulation are often amplified by challenges in cognitive flexibility.
